We are committed to managing our impact on the environment by working with Australian and international organisations that implement environmental management systems, meeting or exceeding the standards of internationally recognised accreditation systems.

Environmental concerns are an increasingly important part of printing today. We embrace the need for sustainable practices.

The benefits of digital printing start with making it practical and affordable to order only as many as you know you'll need, so there's no waste when obsolete printed materials are discarded. Digital printing requires virtually no make-ready paper.

Digital printing presses such as our Kodak NexPress is certified by INGEDE (the International Association of the De-inking Industry) because it is easily de-inked in the paper recycling process.

Here are a few more reasons why Digitalpress are so environmentally friendly:

  • No volatile organic compounds
  • No petroleum-based inks
  • No press-cleaning chemicals
  • No film/platemaking chemicals
  • No metal plates
  • No synthetic proofing materials
  • Arrangement with Energy Australia whereby 25% of our power comes from renewable energy

10 Thousand Trees Program

The team at Digitalpress has adopted this initiative to make paper a sustainable resource and help make a positive footprint on the environment.

Every job printed with Digitalpress provides you with an option to contribute to the environment with our 10 Thousand Trees program. An additional 1% can be added to your quote as your contribution towards the legacy of trees planted. 10 Thousand Trees will plant and manage gum trees on our behalf right here in Australia. These trees will be supplied back into the paper industry and for every tree harvested 2 will be planted in its place. That means every cycle doubles the number of trees. The exponential effect being 10 trees planted today gives you 10,000 trees in three generations.

To date our legacy stands at 29,471 trees and counting.

Please feel free to contact Theo or go to 10 Thousand Trees website for more information about the program. Ask us how to promote your tree legacy on your print job so your customers know about your contribution!
